Compliance is a continuing point of discussion in organizations today.

This past week, Bryan Cote, Ecora's Senior Product Manager, spoke with Greg Shields from Realtime Community. Greg and Bryan discussed the relationship between automated documentation and compliance.

As Greg said, "With compliance regulations requring a database of record showing what on your network changed and when, it is growing more and more impossible every day to fulfill the needs of documenting and auditing your environment."

James Sayles, Ecora's Chief Compliance Advisor and a regular contributor here, recently spoke with Dan Kaplan of SC magazine about Sarbanes Oxley.

In the story, Sayles talks about the Public Company Accounting Oversight Board's Auditing Standard No. 5, designed to tailor audits to the size of the company so to avoid unnecessary procedures.

James shared that the new standard - set to take effect in November - will increase clarity and help companies save money. "The response I've been getting has been overwhelmingly positive," he said.
