I love what I do. Every day—through the power of turning data into pictures and into stories—I get to help people understand things better, make smarter decisions, and drive action. As I write these words, I'm in the middle of a busy week teaching people in New York City and Austin how to think about communicating with data differently and do it better. Before winding down for the year's end and in an effort to spread some holiday cheer, I'd like to get my book into the hands of a team that is eager to improve how they tell stories with their data.

It's the time of year when office holiday parties are accompanied by standard gifts of chocolate, wine, and those foil-wrapped pears. Why not try something different this year? Win your team the best gift ever: the gift of better storytelling with data! Enter my #BestGiftEverSWDbook contest and your entire team could win copies of storytelling with data. Here's what you need to know—

In a photo, image, or short video, show the world why your team needs the book, storytelling with data. Post on Twitter, Facebook, or Instagram using the hashtag #BestGiftEverSWDbook. I'll select the winner; the more shares and likes you have, the higher your chances of winning. Bonus points for creativity.

Entries must be made by midnight PST on Tuesday December 13th. The winning entry will receive copies of storytelling with data for their entire team (up to 10 copies). Any individual or team can enter.

Grab your camera and a teammate (or two) and show me why your team is most in need of storytelling with data. I look forward to your entry!
