Cisco early Tuesday announced that it had agreed to acquire publicly traded security company Sourcefire for around $2.7 billion.
Sourcefire looks at not only networks but millions of endpoint devices, too.
News of cyberattacks just keep on coming, and lately investors have been keen on backing companies that have found business opportunities that stand to gain in this especially security-conscious time. Now even Cisco can’t resist getting in on the ground floor.
