I’m looking for some ideas for my tween daughter’s space. She’s eleven, and I want some fun colors without being too over the top, and something that can grow with her. Do you have any advice on this? I’d love some help with this room!

Our daughter is eleven, and if there’s anything we can relate to, it’s the idea of creating beautiful spaces for them that they can grow into. Something that feels like it’s on the edge of being flexible, but also something that will still be fun for them as they grow. Children’s spaces are our favorites, so we understand what it’s like to be right on the cusp of the remainder of childhood and headed right into their teens. {See our son’s makeover last spring, since he’s twelve going on twenty five.}

So today, we thought we’d share a few of our very favorite ideas. It’s been a while since we’ve pulled one of these together, and we thought this would make a super fun post with ideas for you!

Without futher ado…

1. Bedding and Art

This bedding comes in a beautiful blush color, and is a great base even though it’s definitely a color. what I love the most about this space is that it will grow with her seamlessly over time. I’d pair it with a beautiful white quilt at the foot of the bed to add layer and interest, and also break up the blush so that you can incorporate other colors without it being too overwhelming in the space. I adore the way this pillow pulls everything together in the room.

This headboard is a great centerpiece with it all + brings in so much fun character.

Some beautiful abstract art over her bed which ties in all the colors seamlessly.

2. Nightstands + Lamps

We love this lamp + these nightstands which pair together perfectly. A little storage + a place for all the books.

3. Vanity + Mirror + Pouf

This vanity brings in the best minty blue hue, paired with this mirror + stool for a great look.

4. Accessories + Paint

I grabbed a unicorn for a touch of whimsy – since she’s not all grown up just yet. They also make excellent jewelry and scarf holders. ;} I also found this heart pillow and couldn’t resist because you’re only eleven once. ;}

A nice light grey to help ground the fun hues in the space would be beautiful for her walls. It’s also an easy base to build off of, if you ever want to change anything later. {SW BASALT POWDER}

5. Rug

Love the tones in this rug to really pull all the blush and blue tones together

6. Light

This hanging light tops off the design perfectly.

7. Wallpaper

An accent wall never gets old, especially when in beautiful patterns like this. It’s both sweet and sophisticated.

8. This dresser, topped with a nod to the blush in these fabulous knobs would complete the look with ample storage.

9. Curtains

We love that these are black out, but also tie in all the colors while keeping it airy and light. We also adore the price.

Thanks for popping in today, guys.

We hope this serves as some great inspiration for anything you may be thinking of designing in the future!

Have an inspired day!
