Offer: First class with Lufthansa or Swiss from £1934 return

Regular readers will know that Scandinavia is one of the most consistent places for getting a cheap ex EU flight. That means starting your trip from another country. You will have to buy a separate ticket to get you to Sweden but it can save you literally thousands of pounds by doing so. You can read more about it in our beginners guide to ex Eu from Scandinavia here.

Swiss First sale

Swiss first class caviar – a bargain at these fares!

The latest offers are available on either Swiss or Lufthansa in First class. For once, they are not a companion offer so perfect for single travellers. One way to get the prices even cheaper is to fly First one way and business the other. This brings the price down to a starting point of about £1648. Both Swiss and Lufthansa offer excellent First class products. I would probably go for Lufthansa for the ground services where you get a private First terminal at Frankfurt and driven to the aircraft in a Porsche! They are both part of Star Alliance which gives plenty of earning and redeeming options for your trip.

Private first terminal Frankfurt

Both serve caviar on board too! I have flown Swiss first class and would highly recommend it too. It may not be as fancy as some of the Middle East airlines, but it is a sophisticated product with great food (including caviar) and service. Some of the prices are similar to what you would pay for a normal business class ticket, so they offer good value for money.
