Ironman 70.3 Los Cabos
Mirinda Carfrae took out the win at Ironman 70.3 Los Cabos last weekend, with a bike leg that put her in charge and a run to finish it off.
Ewa Komander finished in second with Adriana Carreno Cruz in third.
It was Carreno that led out the water, the chasers, led by Carfrae and including Komander and Olympia Von Berg, out just fifty seconds back.
On the bike and Carfrae showed the form that she has this year, putting out the fastest split and leading into T2. From here she was in control on the run taking the win ahead of Komander. Carreno had dropped to fourth on the bike, but ran herself back into third by the finish line.

Ironman 70.3 Buenos Aires – South American Championships
Chelsea Sodaro continues her rise over the half distance taking the South American Championship title in impressive style, ahead of Pamella Oliveira and Tamara Jewett.
Exiting the water with a two minute deficit to Rachel Olson and Oliveira, Sodaro charged on the bike, to gain back forty five seconds to Oliveira on the bike. It was Sodaro’s killer run that meant she stormed into the lead and took the win by ten minutes. Oliveira then just managed to hold on, by eleven seconds to the fast finishing Jewett. Jewett had been a further two minutes back out the water and biked eight minutes slower, but then ran a 1.17 to be breathing down Oliveira’s neck at the finish line.
