Cat Friendly Engagement Photos In Dublin, Ireland

Happy Caturday!  I’m happy to see that some cat lovers are venturing out with their cats for engagement sessions!   These handsome cats were wonderful models during this engagement shoot with Olga Hogan Photography. (Just like with dogs, safety is a top priority, these two wore harnesses for these cat-friendly engagement photos.) From Olga:  “Amy and Paidraig briefly mentioned to me that they have two cats and, being the cat person that I am, I couldn’t help but ask if they’d like to include them. I was ecstatic when they said yes, and even more so when I learned that their cats are a gorgeous Maine coon and a blue-eyed ragdoll! I love it when engaged couples involve their pets – they are like the first babies.”

From Amy: “Fionn – the white one – named because ‘Fionn’ means ‘fair’ or ‘white’ in Irish. Fionn is a purebred Ragdoll. Born in Dublin, he’s about two and a half years old.

Ross- the brown one – named because ‘Ross’ means ‘wood’ or ‘woodland’ in Irish. Ross is a purebred Maine Coon. Born in Wexford, Ireland, he’s about two years old.

We adopted Fionn first when he was a kitten. After only a month or two we realised how social he is, and how lonely he was when we were at work. Fionn is extremely needy and clingy (in the best possible way), so we adopted Ross a few months after to keep him company. They have been inseparable ever since. The eat, sleep, play and groom together. They are never apart! Ross is very different. He’s independent, likes his own space, but also extremely cuddly when he wants to be.

Fionn and Ross are part of our family – it didn’t actually occur to me that they wouldn’t be in our engagement shoot. They go wherever we go. Having them with us when taking our engagement photos felt completely natural. It was lovely!”
