Hi all! I'm back with some gorgeous products from The Butters Hygeienics Co. If you've been with me for a few months you might remember my post raving about their cuticle oil. Today's post is all about scrubs!
With all of the hand washing we've been doing recently it's so important to keep a consistent skincare routine. Scrubs are a huge part of my routine so I was quite excited to have the opportunity to try these out! The first thing I noticed was the sleek packaging and consistent branding. I love that it's easy to read and you know exactly what you are getting into.
Top left is the Mojito scrub and bottom left is the Chamomile x Calendula Scrub. You'll notice that the jars are packed to the brim with product! I wish I could offer you all some smell-o-vision because these both smell so soothing.

As you can see these jars come shrink-wrapped for a nice, long shelf life. I'm not huge on excess plastic, but I also appreciate not having to rush through a product right away.
The usage instructions are clearly stated on the side of every jar. I appreciate that there is a recommended usage amount on this because I always wonder if I'm using too much/too little of something. Everyone is different and has different needs, but guidelines are nice in my opinion.
Each jar also has ingredients and info on what the scrub doesn't contain. These scrubs are 100% vegan! I know a lot of people (myself included) are trying to go vegan with their skincare, so this is a huge selling point for me.
Look at those beautiful flower bits! If this doesn't say lux skincare, I don't know what does.
Overall I found the Chamomile x Calendula Scrub to be nice and gritty with a floral finish. I used this to exfoliate my hands a few times a week, but the website says it's safe for the entire body.
The highlight of this scrub is that it contains calendula. This is a flower that has been grown for medicinal purposes for quite a long time. It's known for being anti-inflammatory which makes it great for people with sensitive skin (like myself).

One thing I didn't mention previously is that all scrubs come with a batch number and a best by date. I buy a lot of indie products, but I've yet to encounter either of these on an indie product. I think it's smart to track batches and offer a best by date. To me, that shows a high level of product awareness and quality. Add this to the list of things that makes The Butters Hygienics a highly attractive company.
The Mojito Scrub has bits of peppermint in the mixture, and possibly some lime. The overall scent is quite peppermint dominant. I didn't get much lime, but the overall scent is quite nice.
The Mojito Scrub texture is the same as the Chamomile x Calendula. This scent is more refreshing to me which is why I think it is recommended for face, lips, and hands.
For me, peppermint is the star ingredient in this scrub. Peppermint is known for being anti-inflammatory. It also has antimicrobial and antiseptic properties making it a great ingredient in skincare. This also contains jojoba which is a nice, soothing oil that does a great job of moisturizing.

I really enjoyed both scrubs from The Butters! After trying three different products from them I have to say that I'm a fan. Everything I've tried so far has been high quality at an affordable price. If you decide to build out a full skincare routine I would recommend picking up a scrub, cuticle oil, and shea body moisturizer. Just remember that if you take moisture out (think exfoliating and hand washing) you need to put moisture back in.
The Butters Hygienics Co sugar scrubs are currently available through their website. You'll also find moisturizers, skincare for your face, lube, hair care products, bath bombs and more! They also offer free shipping after spending $45 which is really easy with so many fun products in stock.
