Galaxy A90 5G announced with Snapdragon 855 CPU & Dex
Samsung Electronics surprises as with a brand new 5G smartphone, Galaxy A90 5G. The handset has a neat looking glass back with a unique geometric pattern.
After releasing three premium 5G smartphones in the last few months: Galaxy S10 5G, Galaxy Note10 5G and Note10+ 5G, this week the South Korean tech giant is launching a mid-range phone with said technology on-board.
Samsung’s Galaxy A90 5G is the first A series phone to receive such technology and also world’s first mid-range phone to deliver it to customers. The phone feature a 6.7-inch Super AMOLED display with Infinity-U panel and Full HD+ screen resolution. At the top of the screen there is a cut-out for te 32MP selfie snapper. There is also an in-display fingerprint reader.
Speaking of cameras on the back we have a triple main camera comprised of a 48MP main sensor, 8MP ultra-wide angle sensor and a 5MP sensor for depth of field. The triple cam has some nifty tricks like the Super Steady feature, Flaw Detector, aside from the known Scene Optimizer we’ve seen in Samsung’s Galaxy phones lately.
Galaxy A90 5G runs Android Pie with One UI on top, pack Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 855 and 6 or 8 GB of RAM, which makes it a premium mobile device. In addition, the A90 has 128 GB Internal storage and a micro SD card slot for extra storage (up to 512GB).
The battery inside the A90 5G has 4,500 mAh capacity and delivers 25W fast charging.
Samsung’s Galaxy A90 delivers even Dex functionality, making it the first mid-range phone in its portfolio to borrow PC Desktop like experience from its flagship siblings.
No word on its pricing yet, all we know from Samsung is that it will begin selling in South Korea in Black or White colour.
