A touch of Aidilfitri in Lazada’s 5.5 sale

E-COMMERCE platform Lazada will be offering deals relevant to the Hari Raya Aidilfitri celebration for its 5.5 sale, including bonuses, flash sales, wallet vouchers and cashback giveaways and a chance to win an iPhone 12.

Lazada Malaysia traffic head Susan Too said in the lead-up to the upcoming Aidilfitri festivities, the platform has curated a wide assortment of products through its “Lazada Ada Sentuhan Raya” 5.5 Sale.

“It comes with our lowest-price-guaranteed promise, exciting vouchers and free shipping to provide a peace-of-mind premium shopping experience for our consumers as they prepare for the upcoming celebration amid the pandemic, and provide our merchants with a platform to extend their reach to customers and help ensure their financial stability, especially during these unprecedented times,” she said in a statement yesterday.

Among the brands participating in the exclusive discounts include Realme, Carlo Rino, Signature Market and Apple, among others.

Meanwhile, the flash sale will offer a variety of selected items ranging from electronics, skincare, home appliances and Aidilfitri apparel with discounted items starting from 99 sen.

In addition, until today, app users can top up a minimum of RM50 with their Lazada wallet to win up to RM1,555 cashback, while Lazada is also giving away additional discounts to users on May 5.

The discounts include instant 15 sen off per order during normal hours on May 5, instant 55 sen off per order from 12pm to 2pm on the same day or 55% off Lazada wallet member reward vouchers with no minimum spend, but capped at RM5.

Shoppers can also receive vouchers when purchasing with partnering e-wallets such as Touch ‘n Go and Boost, while Malayan Banking Bhd (Maybank) users can enjoy a rebate of RM5 after topping up RM50 and linking the app with their Maybank2U accounts while Lazada x Citibank Card users can have RM22 off with minimum spend of RM100.

Consumers can also stand a chance to win iPhone 12 by playing the Onederful Wallet game with just RM1 spending via the wallet, which will run until May 5.

The platform is also hosting a month-long online food festival until May 12, where Malaysians can enjoy their buka puasa essentials from small, local bazaar traders.

Too said Lazada’s key focus has always been to empower entrepreneurs and provide support to increase their sales, and to also facilitate the digital transformation of smaller local merchants to the online marketplace.

“Such campaigns allow our merchants to sell their products with attractive deals and the lowest prices possible so consumers who are celebrating Aidilfitri can prepare for the festivities from the comfort of their own home,” she said.

The offerings of the food festival include same-day deliveries for hot meals and freshly baked goods such as martabak, lemang, rendang, laksa, roti john and nasi kerabu from local-favourite stalls and markets in selected areas across the Klang Valley.

In addition, Lazada partnered with Berkat Madinah which is an online Arabic food supplier to support Islamic Relief Malaysia’s (IRM) goal to distribute 12,000 packs of food to the underserved community.

The first 100 customers who donate a mini-mum of RM100 to IRM in a single transaction via LazadaForGood Platform during Ramadhan will receive a box of dates from Berkat Madinah, while donations of RM300 and RM500 will be eligible for five and 10 boxes respectively.
