Have a Socially Distant Visit With Santa on the Christmas Caboose

Nickel Plate Express Train Rides, Winter Traditions

Nothing says the holidays quite like a train ride! Now, more than ever, Hoosiers could use a little extra merriment and Christmas cheer. This winter, hop aboard the Christmas Caboose to celebrate the season safely. Here’s what to expect while riding the Nickel Plate Express in Noblesville, starting Nov. 14:

Santa Claus

When he’s not taking the sleigh, trains are Santa’s transportation of choice! During the 35-minute ride, Santa Clause will visit with families from a safe distance. Each child will receive a gift from Santa and his elves during the trip.

Cozy Seating and Small Groups

Held in a 1957 red Monon caboose, the Christmas Caboose seats approximately 25 guests. Guests will purchase upper or lower level benches for their group to ensure families may sit together while remaining distant from other passengers. Passengers are encouraged to wear PJ’s and snuggle up with their favorite blanket while enjoying the sites and sounds of rail trave

Lights & Decorations

There’s no need for Rudolph to light the way with hundreds of Christmas lights on our locomotive and caboose! The Nickel Plate Express is a site to see rolling down the tracks during the holiday season.

Once onboard the caboose, passengers will enjoy the festive atmosphere created by ornaments, garland and even more lights!

While the Christmas Caboose may be small in size, the magic and joy the event brings to passengers is immense. Ride, relax and rejoice this season by booking your tickets here.
