Army Forge Beta is live!

These last times have been kind of quiet, because we’ve been busy working on something incredibly exciting, that is going to be the future of our games. Step aside BattleScribe, it’s time for the OPR Army Forge. :D

Army Forge (beta)

For the longest time, players have been asking us if we could create an app that helps you with list building, something similar to BattleScribe, but without all the issues.

Well, today we are proud to present the OPR Army Forge (beta)!

Army Forge is an online tool that helps you quickly and efficiently put together army lists, without having to manually calculate any point costs. The system is very much still in beta, and so it only features a limited amount of armies, as well as a whole lot of bugs.

Right now Army Forge is going to be the primary way for you to get your hands on the v2.50 beta with point costs, so if you want to give v2.50 a try, then you need to use Army Forge.

What’s important to note is that we are using this opportunity to test out some point calculator changes as well, so expect point costs to be wildly different from what you’re used to. The biggest change is how offensive vs defensive stats are balanced, which overall makes weapons more expensive, which helps re-balance glass cannon type units.

The plan is to keep adding more and more armies to the system, until all of the v2.50 armies for Grimdark Future are live, at which point we will focus on adding all of the GF: Firefight armies as well. Then once that is done, we will shift our focus to Age of Fantasy, which is also going to get the v2.50 treatment.

On top of that, we’re also planning on adding more features, such as the ability to combine units, full support for competitive rules validation, and improved list printouts.
