The screenshots and flow below is effective as of the Aug. 2020 Alma release.
To install the “Print Bib Records” cloud app:
ONE
On top right of the Alma landing page click the link to the Cloud App Center
TWO
In the “Available Apps” column find the app “Print Bib Records” and click it. You can find it by scrolling through the list or by using the search icon.
THREE
After clicking the app you can click the link to read more about it on the app center or click install. We will click install.
FOUR
The app will then appear in the installed apps tab and clicking it will activate it for use
FIVE
As described in the text of the app, begin searching the Alma repository to use the app.
SIX
Here we have, for example, done a physical titles search for creator “sandberg”. Note that the title of each record from the results appears in the app (on the right) and can be selected. (later we will discuss “pinning” the app so that the bibliographic records in the search results will not be partially hidden under the app).
SEVEN
After selecting records we get a preview and can click print.
EIGHT
After clicking print the records appear in the print format in a new tab, and from there can be printed from the browser.
NINE
We can also configure the cloud app to print a different format.
TEN
Now we change the format from “MARC21 Columnar Format” to “MARC21 slim to English” and click “save” (additional formats may be added in the future).
ELEVEN
Now when the records are printed they appear as follows:
TWELVE
Note that we can pin and unpin the app on the right side. When pinned (first screenshot below) the rest of the screen adjust and we see the full date of the search results. In the second screenshot (unpinned) the data of the search results is partially hidden behind the app.
