Copycat Keto Chick-Fil-A Sauce
Zero carb and zero sugar keto Chick-Fil-A sauce. Perfect with copycat keto chicken nuggets. Kid friendly and mom approved!
Ask and you shall receive! After y’all went crazy for my sugar free yum yum sauce, I was asked many times to make a keto Chick-Fil-A sauce.
It didn’t take much arm twisting to get me to accept that challenge.
Chick-Fil-A sauce is so good I could drink it with a straw.
My family are frequent diners of that blessed establishment and truth be told, I used to go solely for the fact that they had my favorite dipping sauce.
zero sugar sauce?
Did you know that there are 6 carbs and 6g of sugar in just ONE packet of the original?!
As much as it pains me, I have to pass on it these days.
The problem herein lies…once you’ve eaten chicken nuggets with that sauce, you just can’t go back to anything else.
So, I had to try to replicate the beloved dip into a keto friendly version.
My keto version is zero carb and zero sugar alcohol!
the highly technical recipe curation process
I knew a few of the basic components of Chick-Fil-A sauce (thank you packet ingredient list) so I got in my kitchen and started my ultra classy, extremely precise, culinary astute recipe testing.
Mix, finger dip, taste.
Repeat until it’s just right.
See, classy and highly technical.
Y’all, even I was impressed with how delicious this keto Chick-Fil-A sauce is!
Seriously, I could eat it with a spoon.
Maybe I did, maybe I didn’t. I will never tell.
The best part is, making a sugar free keto Chick-Fil-A sauce doesn’t require any special ingredients.
If you’ve been eating low carb and sugar free for any length of time, I would bet $100 you have everything you need already in your pantry and refrigerator.
making your own keto chick-fil-a sauce
While I was performing my Nobel prize winning recipe test, I played with many different ratios of ingredients.
More bbq sauce, less liquid smoke, less mayonnaise, etc., etc..
This recipe below is the most like true Chick-Fil-A sauce I have ever tasted.
Now, your keto Chick-Fil-A sauce will not be as yellow as what you’re used to.
This is simply because the ingredients are much cleaner and we’re not using dyes.
If you just have to make it match the color, you can add some orange food coloring but really, why would you?
eating your homemade chick-fil-a sauce
I would not be doing my due diligence if I didn’t remind you to order little throwaway containers so that you can take your own keto Chick-Fil-A sauce with you on the go!
Seriously, I keep these 1 ounce containers in my pantry for this exact reason.
They’re crazy cheap and small enough to keep in my purse (in a ziplock bag to prevent spills).
I can throw them away when I’m done eating and be so proud of my adult self for being prepared!
Now, go make your own sugar free Chick-Fil-A sauce and feel zero shame carrying it with you at your next Chick-Fil-A run! And if people ask what you’re eating, send them back my way! 😉
