Did you know SWISS are flying Cork to Geneva for the ski season?
Apparently skiing is a thing, and to tap into that market SWISS is opening services from Cork to Geneva for the season. The Irish people in the southern part of the country will be pleased by this.
Cork Airport has been closed for number of months as they have been completing a runway reconstruction project. This is due to be complete on 22 November, meaning the airport will then reopen.
SWISS Cork to Geneva
Services will commence on 19 December and run through to 6 March next year. These will be operated once a week by the modern and very comfortable Airbus A220-300.
Amazing On Board Service
SWISS is a high quality airline and people flying from Cork to Geneva are in for a treat. Not only is the aircraft comfortable, the food and drink service in business class is superb.
My experience on a business class flight from Zurich to Dublin in August 2020 was mind blowing. From what I hear, the service in the back of the bus is pretty good as well.
It’s always good to see new routes, even if they are seasonal like Cork to Geneva will be. Hopefully the services will prove popular, so that they come back again next year.
SWISS also operates from Zurich and Geneva to Dublin on a more frequent schedule, so those wanting a shorter break can always come back via the capital. Useful to keep in mind when booking.
