Drake & Kanye West Make Peace After Years Of Beef

Following Kanye West's recent appearance on Drink Champs, he and veteran music industry mogul J. Prince had invited Drake to a December 7 event in Los Angeles, California. The invitation was intended to squash a longstanding beef and celebrate both men's 2021 albums (Donda and Certified Lover Boy, respectively), as well as advocate for the prison release of Larry Hoover, co-founder of Chicago street organization the Gangster Disciples. Larry Hoover, Jr. appeared with Ye at Drink Champs, and spoke at length about his father in the second episode of two. Weeks before the planned event, Drake and Kanye now appear together on Instagram, indicating that the former collaborators-turned-foes have reached a peace. Moments ago (November 16), West and Drake each posted footage of them together. In a photo on West's IG page, they are joined by James Prince, who may be best known for founding Rap-A-Lot Records, the onetime home to Scarface, Devin The Dude, Geto Boys, and Z-Ro. Prince has been a longtime supporter of Drake, after his son Jas is credited with bringing the MC/singer to the attention of Lil Wayne while on tour in 2008. On Drake's page, footage is seen of the two men embracing while at Chappelle's event this week in Toronto, Ontario.

Kanye West Details The Secret Warfare Drake Has Waged On Him This truce comes after more than three years of back-and-forth on wax. West's G.O.O.D Music artist/executive Pusha-T has a longstanding feud with Drake, Lil Wayne, and Cash Money Records. West produced Pusha's 2018 Grammy nominated DAYTONA album, which featured verbal attacks aimed at Drake. That beef included Pusha revealing Drake's son in a diss song, and calling him a deadbeat dad for hiding the child. Things intensified when Drake blamed Kanye West for the breach of trust. Meanwhile, J. Prince urged both artists to stand down, waging a "career-ending" smear against Ye. While Prince never revealed his hand, Drake, Ye, and Pusha have continued their offensives on social media, in interviews, and in lyrics. West recently explained why he felt Drake overstepped and compared their rift to Mike Tyson's second fight against Evander Holyfield. While sitting on Drink Champs, West also repeatedly said he wanted to speak to Drake and resolve their issue. He has also welcomed a Verzuz battle against his rival and past collaborator. Drake Explains Why Pusha-T Revealing His Son Was A Genius Chess Move On the latest episode of Ambrosia For HeadsWhat's The Headline podcast, there is an in-depth discussion surrounding the deeper jewels (and other moments) from that interview, and why many of these things go under-covered in the media:
