I guess by now readers would start to familiar with posts my comic strip style. Today's topic would be on basic metrics of REITs, which the content is similar to my last year post - Basic Financial Metrics of REITs.
These are just the basic metrics of REITs. To analyze a REIT, there are other areas to look into too, instead of just buy based on name and yield (same as the son in the comic). One thing that fewer peoples talk about is the property yield which involves interests in joint ventures and associates. In my opinion, this should be taking into account for the property yield calculation as well, therefore I've added those into the calculation as above.
