‘Eddie Howe – Serious increase in value of Newcastle United players he inherited’

I don’t think there has been much said about the Newcastle United team that Eddie Howe put out
against Arsenal.

That starting eleven on Monday night – Dubravka, Krafth, Schar, Burn, Targett, Guimaraes, Longstaff, Joelinton, Saint-Maximin, Almiron, Wilson.

When you then also include the four substitutes that were used, out of the 15 who took to the pitch, Eddie Howe used only two players (Guimaraes and Burn) who were bought in January (2022), plus one (Targett) who came in on loan, with the remaining twelve being players that the Newcastle United Head Coach inherited.

The hard clear evidence is there, to show that so many of these players inherited, have been brought back from the brink by Howe and his staff.

It confirms for me that Steve Bruce didn’t coach the team / squad properly, nor did he have them fit enough to last 90 minutes.

This is what we have all seen with out own eyes, the contrast is stark.

In fact, when you look more closely, the players clearly didn’t know / understand / buy into the tactics under Bruce, it was more like a game of Snakes and Ladders or Buckeroo…regularly becoming a real Buckeroo.

The players became disillusioned and regressed, with their values reducing weekly.

Now when you watch them, they are at a completely different level.

Dubravka, Schar, Lascelles, Joelinton, Wilson, Saint-Maximin, Krafth, Fraser, Murphy, Almiron, Gayle, Sean Longstaff – stand up boys and take a bow.

You have got through the bad times.

Thanks to Eddie Howe taking over, I honestly think he has added serious value to so many of these players in the Newcastle United squad who became so deflated and devalued under Steve Bruce.

What £???m would you put on it? Answers to the Mag. Personally, I estimate Howe’s recovery job has added over £100m to the value of the NUFC players he inherited.

Eddie Howe, amongst his many talents, he can certainly turn water into wine.
