Getting back into the swing

I’ve really struggled the last couple months with some health issues that have really kept me down – nothing major except not being able to sleep, talk, or eat without coughing my head off. Well, it looks like I’m on the mend, and I’m back to my art.

This morning I started dyeing some fabric for a fun project I’ll be working on shortly. More about it later.

I also did a little wet cyanotype printing. For information on this technique, check out this post.

I’ve been trying to do some gardening during this time. I did help my friend Deegee add some of our plants to a sunny area she has in her backyard.  She texted me a picture of the area the other day, and it’s looking great! Last week I went by the area I helped Linda plant for Mother’s Day, and it’s looking really good too!

Looking at that picture, I really need to get me some nicer gardening clothes. It looks like I’ve gained 20 pounds with them on! But they’re comfortable!

Otherwise, the blueberries are finally turning. I picked these yesterday morning. I’ll be harvesting every other day now.

My gardening obsession is now my coneflowers. Here are the ones that are blooming now. This first one  is my favorite so far!

And the others so far!

There is still more to weed and mulch in the gardens, but I’m seeing the end.

Well, that’s all for now. Thanks for dropping by, and looking forward to some more creative posts in the future. Stay cool!
