Glashütte Original - SeaQ in black and red gold
Glashütte Original released a new interpretation of its SeaQ divers's watch that plays with the contrast of its red gold case with a refined black dial.
And for the first time, the SeaQ 39.5 mm version reveals the beautifully finished manufactory movement though a transparent sapphire crystal caseback.
The use of red gold turns the watch into a sporty and elegant everyday companion but its performances remain pro-level ensuring water resistance up to 20 bar (200 metres / 660 feet) and full compliance with the DIN 8306 and ISO 6425 specifications for divingwatches.
The case alternates satin-brushed and polished surfaces and it is pretty slim at just 12.15 mm of thickness, domed sapphire crystal included.
The unidirectional bezel rotates with a perceptible and precise click and features a black ceramic inlay that guarantees exceptional scratch-resistance.
The galvanic black dial with sunray finish makes the large Arabic numerals stand out. For improved readability in poor light conditions, Super-LumiNova is used for the applied hour markers and the hands as well as for the bezel triangle. The dial is completed by a date aperture positioned at 3 o'clock.
The self-winding Calibre 39-11 beats at the frequency of 4 Hz (28,800 vibrations per hour) with an autonomy of 40 hours. This manufacture movement is meticulously finished according to the highest standards, including bevelled edges, polished steel parts, polished screws, Glashütte stripe finish and swan-neck fine adjustment.
The new Glashütte Original SeaQ in black and red gold can be matched to a black rubber strap (ref. 1-39-11-17-91-33) or to a grey synthetic fabric strap (ref. 1-39-11-17-91-34), both fitted with a red gold butterfly shape folding clasp, and has a suggested retail price of Euro 23,000. glashuette-original.com
