Vegan Basil Pesto
Pesto is a classic Italian sauce often made from simple ingredients. The base is traditionally made with basil, pine nuts, parmesan and olive oil. But you can always customize the recipe with more ingredients like sun-dried tomatoes, changing the nuts for walnuts or almonds, adding some red chili flakes for spice. You can make your own version of this recipe, your kitchen, your rules.
How many servings does this make?
This makes about 1/4 cup of basil. If you enjoy gowing herbs in the warmer seasons, you can make a batch straight from your graden. You will be surprised by how quickly this goes when you add it to every meal.
