Taking someone with a disability into a public restroom to either use the toilet or harder yet, have their incontinence brief changed, is much more challenging than the average person would think. Women can't take a male into the women's room. Men can't take a female into a men's room. Caregivers are often a different gender than their care receiver so what's the option? Often none. Then there are adults with incontinence challenges (not as rare as you may think, either). Those with bowel incontinence must lie on an often filthy bathroom floor in order to change - sometimes in a stall. This shouldn't have to be the norm.
