Friday on The Robert Scott Bell Show:

We will kill 117 kids to save one child from dying from COVID in the 5 to 11 age range Dr. Toby Rogers writes a popular substack looking at risk benefit issues. His credentials are described here. In a recent article that I hope everyone will read or at least skim, he concluded: “So, to put it simply, the Biden administration plan would kill 5,248 children via Pfizer mRNA shots in order to save 45 children from dying of coronavirus. For every one child saved by the shot, another 117 would be killed by the shot.” That’s stunning. Read it again. We kill 117 kids to save one kid. Not surprising to me. It’s consistent with the scientific peer-reviewed literature such as the Kostoff paper which concluded: In plain English, people in the 65+ demographic are five times as likely to die from the inoculation as from COVID-19 under the most favorable assumptions! This demographic is the most vulnerable to adverse effects from COVID-19. As the age demographics go below about 35 years old, the chances of death from COVID-19 become very small, and when they go below 18, become negligible. The Walach paper found the same thing. It has now been re-published in Science, Public Health Policy and the Law which is a peer-reviewed medical journal. The Walach paper appears in this issue along with a scathing editorial by the journal editor talking about how the paper authors were mistreated by the scientific community. James Lyons-Weiler wrote, “Either way, the authors of the latest paper in Science, Public Health Policy, & the Law (Walach et al.) have been caught, like grist in the mill, in a nonsensical, convoluted torture session in which their detractors have broken all logic and reason on the question of how society renders causal inference between vaccine exposure and serious illness or death.” James would love to debate anyone who disagrees with his editorial, but nobody wants to talk about it.

5-year-olds soon have to show vaccine cards in San Francisco San Francisco will soon require children as young as 5 to show proof of Covid-19 vaccination to enter certain indoor public spaces like restaurants, entertainment venues and sporting events, public health officials said this week. The local mandate already requires children and adults over the age of 12 to show proof that they are vaccinated before entering those places. Now, city health officials are planning to extend the health order to children ages 5 to 11, the group newly eligible for the shot. San Francisco Health Officer Susan Philip said the requirement won’t kick in for at least two months. “We definitely want to wait and make sure children have an opportunity to get vaccinated, so that will happen no sooner than about eight weeks after the vaccine is available for kids,” Philip said at a town hall meeting Tuesday about youth vaccinations. Vaccinations of the younger age group began Wednesday in California, the same day West Coast scientific experts announced they greenlighted the use of the Pfizer-BioNTech vaccine for children ages 5-11 — and a day after the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention recommended the kid-sized dose. The pediatric vaccine is a third of the adult dose and, like the adult formulation, is given in two doses, 21 days apart.

“Invisible Toxic Cocktail” in Tap Water Across US Due to “Regulatory Capture”: Analysis Millions of people throughout the United States “are unwittingly drinking water that includes an invisible toxic cocktail made up of contaminants linked to cancer, brain damage, and other serious health harms,” according to the Environmental Working Group, which updated its nationwide Tap Water Database on Wednesday. “EWG’s Tap Water Database offers a panoramic view of what drinking water quality looks like when the federal office meant to protect our water is in an advanced stage of regulatory capture,” Environmental Working Group (EWG) president Ken Cook said in a statement. “The Environmental Protection Agency’s (EPA) Office of Groundwater and Drinking Water has demonstrated for decades that it is utterly incapable of standing up to pressure from water utilities and polluters to protect human health from the dozens of toxic contaminants in America’s drinking water,” said Cook. EWG’s unique database—assembled over the course of multiple years by researchers who collected and analyzed test data from nearly 50,000 water systems in the U.S.—reveals “widespread contamination from toxic substances such as arsenic, lead, and the ‘forever chemicals’ known as PFAS in the drinking water of tens of millions of households in all 50 states and the District of Columbia.”

Questions of The Day!

Hi guys,
R.S,B. I have NOT heard you use the word “more” incorrectly for a long time–I am “VERY” proud of you-MY question: I heard your guest talking about Cardio Miracle, I have been using Super Beets, now I am thinking that was a mistake-consequently I switch to Cardio Miracle-due to the expense can I use Cardio Miracle every other day-also I believe you may have answered this question-but I could not find it on the podcast- the scoop given with the Can Jest Tea is very small are you of the belief that a tea spoon would be better

I had lab work done and I have a high ferritin level, its 240 with a reference range of 15-150. Should I stop taking the copper hydrosol? I enjoy your show and the AMAs every month! Thanks for all you do.

Hi Robert,
I’ve been diagnosed with atrial flutter and hypertension for which I take a blood thinner (eliquis), blood pressure meds (losartan and amlodipine) and a diuretic. I would love to try cardio miracle. I’m just wondering if it is safe to do while on these medications. Any other recommendations for such conditions would be great too. Thank you!

Hi robert and super don!
Loving hearing marybeth sharing about the “gonzalez metabolic type test”! we will check that out! We just ordered 2 16 oz bottles of the copper hydrosol! anxious to begin taking it! Could you please go over the best dose and what to possibly expect? I dont want to be unrealistic. Am I correct that one benefit could be helping assimilate nutrients by healing the gut? You kind of know some of my story…still looking for something to “work”! Organics kratom, limbic arc, cbd, silver aloe protocol, etc etc…dont seem to have effect  for me…could the copper be the key to unlock it all??
Love you guys!

COVID-Vaccine Mandates for Kids Are Coming COVID-19 vaccination for 5-to-11-year-olds is finally a go. But even as the emergency-use-authorization process unfolded, so too did arguments over whether kids should (or would soon) be forced into getting shots. School mandates for new vaccines tend to lag behind CDC recommendations by about half a decade, but COVID-19 shots appear to be in the express lane. The Los Angeles Unified School District—the nation’s second-largest—will require students 12 or older to be vaccinated by mid-December if they want to continue attending in-person classes. The entire state of California plans to mandate shots for all of its public- and private-school students as soon as vaccines are fully approved for them, and New York City’s mayor-elect has said that he supports the same idea. The implementation of any statewide K–12 school mandates may still be a while off, given the expected delay before the FDA gives full approval of shots for kids—for reference, the same process for the adult vaccines took eight months. In the meantime, parents, pediatricians, and public-health officials will be left to ponder the pros and cons. COVID-19 may be an unprecedented disease prompting an unprecedented vaccination effort to match. But how, exactly, does the case for mandating COVID vaccines in schools compare to the one for all the other shot requirements—such as those for polio, chickenpox, and measles—that are already in place throughout the country?

These states and cities are offering to pay kids if they get vaccinated Millions of children in America became eligible to receive the Covid-19 vaccine this week. And some officials are sweetening the deal by including them in various incentive programs. In New York City, children can claim $100 if they get their first dose of Pfizer’s vaccine at city-operated vaccine site. Alternatively, they can get tickets to city attractions such as the Statue of Liberty or the Brooklyn Cyclones baseball team. The incentive program was already available to other New Yorkers who got vaccinated. “We really want kids to take advantage, families take advantage of that,” Mayor Bill de Blasio said Thursday. “Everyone could use a little more money around the holidays. But, most importantly, we want our kids and our families to be safe.” In Chicago, health officials are also offering $100 gift cards for children ages five to 11 when they get the shots at Chicago Public Health events or clinics, officials said. Plus, the Chicago school district — one of the largest in the nation — is closing on November 12 for Vaccination Awareness Day to make it easier for students to get their shots. “It is rare that we make a late change to the school calendar, but we see this as an important investment in the future of this school year and the health and wellbeing of our students, staff, and families,” Chicago Public Schools Chief Executive Officer Pedro Martinez said in a message to parents.

Key takeaways as US sets Jan. 4 vaccine mandate deadline Millions of U.S. workers now have a Jan 4. deadline to get a COVID vaccine. The federal government on Thursday announced new vaccine requirements for workers at companies with more than 100 employees as well as for workers at health care facilities that treat Medicare and Medicaid patients. It also extended a deadline for federal contractors. The Biden administration says 70% of all adult Americans are now fully vaccinated. The new rules are aimed at the tens of millions who remain unvaccinated. Companies with 100 or more employees must require those workers to get fully vaccinated — with two shots of the Moderna or Pfizer vaccines, or one shot of Johnson & Johnson — by Jan. 4. After that date, any employee who remains unvaccinated must provide a verified negative COVID test weekly. Companies aren’t required to pay for those tests. Unvaccinated employees also must wear masks. The Occupational Safety and Health Administration will assist companies with vaccination plans. It will also enforce the rules. Fines for non-compliance will vary based on a company’s size and other factors, but companies might have to pay up to $13,653 per individual violator. But enforcement will be difficult. OSHA has only around 1,850 inspectors to oversee 130 million workers at 8 million companies.

Study finds that in much of the US, virtual school did not lower COVID-19 case rates in surrounding communities Since March 2020, parents, educators, and politicians have debated whether to send children to school in person during the COVID-19 pandemic. New research suggests that in most regions, with the exception of the South, opening schools for in-person learning was not associated with an increase in COVID-19 case rates in the community. The results of the nationwide study, published in Nature Medicine, included 895 school districts across the United States. “The results suggest it is possible for schools to operate safely and in-person without increasing case rates in the community,” says Richard Nelson, Ph.D., associate professor of epidemiology at University of Utah Health and co-senior author with Westyn Branch-Elliman, M.D., of the VA Boston Healthcare System. “But the flip side is true, too. In some areas, in-person school did appear to be a source of community spread.” The researchers analyzed data gathered during the 12 weeks from July to September 2020 by region, and categorized them as the Northeast, Midwest, South, and Mountain West. The Pacific West was not included because nearly all public schools were virtual.

Vaccine hesitant in the US unlikely to change their minds: study Half of those in the U.S. who are unwilling to be vaccinated against SARS-CoV-2 report that nothing will change their mind, according to a representative national survey reported in a study published in Scientific Reports. Jeffrey Lazarus and colleagues surveyed 6,037 American adults in April 2021 to identify their attitudes towards vaccination against SARS-CoV-2. One third of the participants came from across the U.S. and two thirds were from New York, Los Angeles, Dallas or Chicago. The authors found that 21.4% of participants from across the U.S. were unwilling to be vaccinated against SARS-CoV-2, compared to 19.7% in Dallas, 11.5% in Los Angeles, 11.2% in Chicago and 10.1% in New York. Of those unwilling to be vaccinated, half stated that nothing would convince them to receive the vaccine and the majority reported that their unwillingness was caused by concerns about vaccine safety. Unwillingness to be vaccinated tended to be higher among those who worked outside of the home, held conservative political views, had a lower household income and had not previously tested positive for COVID-19. Education levels, race, age and sex were not uniformly associated with unwillingness to be vaccinated.

Doctors must be honest with parents about unknown risks of COVID-19 emergency vaccine The Food and Drug Administration’s momentous announcement last week that the Pfizer-BioNTech vaccine will be made authorized under emergency use for children ages 5-11 was followed Tuesday afternoon by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention’s decision to recommend the vaccine’s use for children. For some parents, this is blissful news, and for others, the announcement may raise questions or concerns. Of course, when it comes to children in America, we all want to do what is absolutely best for their health. We all want to minimize the harms and suffering of children, as well as harms to those who love them and care for them. We want to do what is best for kids in the short term, as well as what is best for them in the long term. With that in mind, it is absolutely essential that we communicate about this vaccine in an informative and nuanced way and, for the moment, resist uninformative persuasion. This means we should use language that empowers parents to take part in a shared decision-making discussion to determine whether vaccination is right for their kid in this moment or, if not now, potentially some moment in the future.
