20-year-old Daniel Crowder, who once shot off the tip of another man’s penis during an argument, is now charged with two counts of aggravated assault after reportedly smashing a candle over his girlfriend’s head when she woke him up to confront him about texts to other women she viewed on his phone. On February 11th, Metro Nashville Police officers were responding to another nearby call when Daniel Crowder’s sister approached them for help, yelling about how her brother had assaulted their mother. Officers walked to the house, which was only a few doors down from the previous call, and spoke with all parties.
Inside the house, they found the Crowder, his sister, his mother, and his girlfriend. Crowder, who was found guilty of felony aggravated assault in September when he shot off the tip of Clarence Lewis’ penis during a physical scuffle. His supervised probation ends in 2024.
According to an arrest warrant, Daniel Crowder’s girlfriend stated to police that she was looking thru his phone and saw that he was texting other women. She went to wake Daniel up and confront him about it, at which point she says he got angry and aggressive towards her. Crowder picked up a small glass candle jar and smashed her in the back of the head with it. He also proceeded to choke her with his bare hands but she did not lose consciousness. The girlfriend was transported to the hospital to seek treatment for her injuries, which first responders noted to include a laceration to the back of her head with moderate bleeding and bruises on both arms.
After the assault of his girlfriend, the account says Daniel Crowder saw his mother on the phone with Metro Police and knocked the phone out of her hand putting a scratch on her face.
