Minecraft Volume Beta receives long-awaited vinyl pressing
It’s no surprise that, aside from addictive gameplay, one of the most beloved things about Minecraft is its soundtrack.
With a delicately-performed set of ambient excursions by composer C148, Minecraft fans have benefitted from two stirring volumes of music. Minecraft Volume Alpha was the first to get the vinyl treatment in 2011 via Ghostly International.

Repressings of the title have periodically sold out, and each edition has instantly become a collectors’ item.
What has been conspicuously missing from the vinyl market is 2013’s Minecraft Volume Beta. The mystery ceased once Ghostly confirmed its pressing this year, set for release on August 14th.
At a lengthy 140 minutes, the 30-track album will be pared down for the 2xLP set to ensure optimum sound quality. Ghostly are currently offering pre-orders for a limited edition black vinyl set with a lenticular jacket, along with a “fire-splatter” red vinyl variant and a standard edition black vinyl.
Before its release this week, you can pre-order your copy at the album’s Bandcamp page, along with your local retailers.
