Concluding Thoughts on Monkie Kid Sets
Monkie Kid seems very reminiscent of Ninjago upon first glance. However, this theme is reportedly based on an actual classic Chinese tale. I will explore that concept in a later post though. In terms of this first wave of sets, there are a couple that appeal to me. Buildings are always welcome, and the Inferno Truck and Warrior Mech sets include some. I am not too keen on the Inferno Truck itself, but the Warrior Mech looks amazingly detailed. I do not normally collect mechs, but I might make an exception here. Finally, the Secret HQ looks neat. I like the shipping containers.
The signage on these all these sets would look great in the Ninjago district of my LEGO® city. Therefore, for me, this theme is more of an inspiration for MOCs. How do you feel about it? Comment below or send me a message on social media. For more LEGO® news, click here.
Until next time,
