Pfizer CEO says people who spread misinformation on Covid vaccines are ‘criminals’ People who spread misinformation on Covid-19 vaccines are “criminals” and have cost “millions of lives,” Pfizer CEO Albert Bourla said Tuesday. Speaking with Washington D.C.-based think tank Atlantic Council, Bourla said there is a “very small” group of people that purposefully circulate misinformation on the shots, misleading those who are already hesitant about getting vaccinated. “Those people are criminals,” he told Atlantic Council CEO Frederick Kempe. “They’re not bad people. They’re criminals because they have literally cost millions of lives.” Bourla’s comments come as millions of eligible adults in the U.S. have yet to get vaccinated even though the shots have been available to most Americans most of this year. Public health experts say misinformation is likely playing a large role. According to a survey published Monday by the Kaiser Family Foundation, more than three-quarters of U.S. adults either believe or aren’t sure about at least one of eight false statements about Covid or the vaccines, with unvaccinated adults and Republicans among those most likely to hold misconceptions.
FLASHBACK – Pfizer Hit with Largest Criminal Fine in US History Drugmaker Pfizer Inc. and one of its subsidiaries agreed to pay $2.3 billion to settle civil and criminal charges regarding its marketing of the drug Bextra. As part of the settlement, Pfizer pled guilty to a felony violation of the Food, Drug, and Cosmetic Act for marketing the drug with the intent to deceive and mislead the public. The criminal portion of the fine is the largest fine ever levied by the United States government, breaking the previous record set by drugmaker Eli Lilly and Company with its illegal campaign for the drug Zyprexa just last January. Like the Zyprexa case, the criminal charges against Pfizer come from “off-label marketing” of its drug Bextra, an anti-inflammatory used for the treatment of arthritis and menstrual cramps. Pfizer yanked Bextra from the shelves in 2005 after the FDA found an increased risk of heart attack and stroke from usage, along with other potentially serious side effects. Off-label marketing refers to the illegal practice of marketing a drug approved by the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) for uses other than what the FDA approves it for. This is different from “off-label use,” which is the legal practice of a doctor prescribing a drug for a different use than the FDA granted approval for. If a drugmaker wants to market a drug for a new use, which brings with it new revenue streams, it must seek additional FDA approval.

Questions of The Day!
My 3 year son old has a lingering cough and runny nose that we can’t seem to get rid of. It’s been about 3 and a half weeks. I’ve tried a lot of Homeopathic remedies, but I feel like I’m missing something. We tried Aconite and Bryonia at the beginning and then switched to Drosera when the cough started to sound like barking. It didn’t seem to help, so I switched to Hepar Sulp and it seemed to take care of most of the cough. But he still had/has white-ish discharge from his nose. His attitude was getting very poor so we did some high doses of Pulsatilla. I think it helped some, but not completely, so 2 days ago I started Sulphur for the lingering symptoms. His attitude drastically improved and he seems in good spirits, but he still has white snot and an occasional cough- worse with exercise. We’re also boosting immunity with Vitamin C, manuka honey, silver, and all kinds of smoothies and juices. He’s completely unvaccinated and I breast fed him until he was over 2, so this is the first time we’ve really dealt with a lasting illness. He’s always been able to fight things off quickly, and I’m just feeling frustrated. Any thoughts would be greatly appreciated.
I love your show! So much so, that my son asks why we listen to the Robert Scott Bell podcast so much.
Lots of Love and gratitude from this pregnant, dance teacher mom holding the line in Ramstein, Germany
Hi RSB and Super D.
Love your show and all that you do for medical freedom.
What do you suggest for cancer/stomach/tumour treatment? It is sadly my sister 52 years old just been diagnosed. She will take the doctors medical treatment but I think she will let me treat her alongside allopathic treatment.
Thank you so much!
Three shots and 1 booster later, this man has little protection against Covid-19 Double-masking, staying at home nearly 24/7 and rarely seeing people beyond his wife are still the way of life for kidney transplant recipient Andrew Linder, even after many in the United States are living like the pandemic has ended. Health officials are recommending third and even fourth shots to boost Covid-19 resistance for people with certain conditions, but that hasn’t eased the fears of some immunocompromised people. Linder, 34, received the life-changing gift of a kidney from his wife, Emily, in September 2019. He will be on immunosuppressants for the rest of his life to keep his body from rejecting the organ. In March 2020, as Covid-19 cases started to shut down workplaces and cities, Emily moved in with her parents for months because she works with the homeless and people in the prison system and did not want to get her husband sick. The coronavirus vaccines brought some hope for the Linders, who live in Akron, Ohio. Andrew Linder had two doses of the Pfizer vaccine and later an additional dose and a booster. Hope quickly turned to heartbreak. “I had no antibodies whatsoever. That was shocking and scary and sucky for sure,” Linder told CNN. “I almost feel just as unsafe or if not potentially a little bit more unsafe now than at the beginning of the pandemic, just for the fact that I could get it at this point in time.”
Informers key in enforcing Biden vaccine mandate To enforce President Joe Biden’s forthcoming COVID-19 mandate, the U.S. Labor Department is going to need a lot of help. Its Occupational Safety and Health Administration doesn’t have nearly enough workplace safety inspectors to do the job. So the government will rely upon a corps of informers to identify violations of the order: Employees who will presumably be concerned enough to turn in their own employers if their co-workers go unvaccinated or fail to undergo weekly tests to show they’re virus-free. What’s not known is just how many employees will be willing to accept some risk to themselves – or their job security – for blowing the whistle on their own employers. Without them, though, experts say the government would find it harder to achieve its goal of requiring tens of millions of workers at companies with 100 or more employees to be fully vaccinated by Jan. 4 or be tested weekly and wear a mask on the job. “There is no army of OSHA inspectors that is going to be knocking on employers door or even calling them,” said Debbie Berkowitz, a former OSHA chief of staff who is a fellow at Georgetown University’s Kalmanovitz Initiative for Labor and the Working Poor. “They’re going to rely on workers and their union representatives to file complaints where the company is totally flouting the law.’’ Jim Frederick, the acting chief of OSHA, told reporters that this agency will focus on job sites “where workers need assistance to have a safe and healthy workplace.”
Scientists Fight a New Source of Vaccine Misinformation: Aaron Rodgers An earlier version of this article misstated the length of Aaron Rodgers’s career. He is playing in his 17th season, not his 16th. This spring, he was auditioning to be the host of “Jeopardy!” Nearly every day, he pops up on television ads for national brands like State Farm insurance. And on Sundays this fall, he has led the Green Bay Packers to a division-best 7-2 record. Quarterback Aaron Rodgers is not just the N.F.L.’s reigning most valuable player, he’s a celebrity who transcends the nation’s most popular sport, a household name on par with Tom Brady and Patrick Mahomes. So when news broke that he tested positive for the coronavirus last week and was unvaccinated, Rodgers justified his decision to not get vaccinated by speaking out against the highly effective vaccines and spewing a stream of misinformation and junk science. Medical professionals were disheartened not just because it will make it harder for them to persuade adults to get vaccinated, but because they are also starting to vaccinate 5- to 11-year-olds. “When you’re a celebrity, you are given a platform,” said Dr. Paul A. Offit, the director of the Vaccine Education Center at the Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia. “When you choose to do what Aaron Rodgers is doing, which is to use the platform to put out misinformation that could cause people to make bad decisions for themselves or their children, then you have done harm.”
NFL fines Aaron Rodgers and Packers for violating COVID-19 policies The National Football League has fined the Green Bay Packers and their star quarterback Aaron Rodgers for violating COVID-19 rules, the league confirmed to CNBC. The NFL said it concluded its investigation Tuesday evening and notified the Packers of its $300,000 penalty. Rodgers was fined $14,650 for attending a party while unvaccinated. Last month, a video circulated showing Rodgers with teammates at a Halloween party without a mask. Packers wide out Allen Lazard was also fined $14,650 for attending the party. In addition, the Packers were warned future COVID-19 violations could result in loss of draft picks. Rodgers, 37, was criticized last week when it became public that he’s not vaccinated and tested positive for COVID-19 despite telling reporters last August he’s “immunized.” He spoke to “The Pat McAfee Show” twice in less than a week to discuss the criticism and the notion he misled the public. “I made some comments that people might have felt were misleading,” Rodgers told the show Tuesday. “To anybody that felt misled by those comments, I take full responsibility for those comments.”
Dennis Prager Doubles Down on AIDS Crisis-Pandemic Comparison: ‘Were There Government Mandates to Fire Every American With AIDS?’ Conservative radio host Dennis Prager doubled down on his comparison between unvaccinated Americans and gay men during the AIDS crisis. “During the AIDS crisis,” he asked on Newsmax Monday, “can you imagine if gay men and intravenous drug users, who were the vast majority of the people with AIDS, had they been pariahs the way the non-vaccinated are? But it would have been inconceivable. And it should have been inconceivable! They should not have been made pariahs. But this is kosher, this is okay.” Gay men, of course, were seriously stigmatized during the AIDS crisis, and Prager was criticized for his commentary. He addressed his comments on Tuesday morning and said, “I did not say gays were not pariahs during the AIDS crisis—period, end of sentence. I said they were not pariahs ‘like the unvaccinated are today.’ There’s a reason people use qualifiers.” Prager insisted his comparison holds and asked, “Were there government mandates to fire every American with AIDS? Or fire every gay man?”
