Let’s just get it out of the way that most of you need a Thanksgiving turkey recipe. There are some people who put a lot of time and effort into roasting a turkey. I am NOT one of them. I am interested in a foolproof Thanksgiving turkey recipe that looks and tastes amazing but requires very little work of me. I do not want to baste it every half hour nor fiddle with elaborate preparation techniques. That is just not for me. If you are looking for an easy roast turkey recipe that is fantastic, you have come to the right place! This recipe is (NO JOKE) mostly hands-off and includes options for both an easy dry rub recipe and a simple brine!
2. Smoked Ham
Some Thanksgiving celebrations have BOTH a roasted turkey and a ham. If that sounds like your family or you just want to spice things up a bit this year, let me introduce you to my smoked ham recipe. It’s fantastic and gets rave reviews! The smoked ham is brushed with a spiced maple glaze and dotted with whole cloves for a very impressive looking main dish that can be shown off. This version uses gluten-free lasagna noodles but feel free to substitute your favorite brand if you aren’t GF. Oh, and the leftovers are freaking amazing!

The chicken is seasoned and baked on the bone covered in fresh lemon slices.
