Strong moisture and daytime heating will help trigger showers and storms over the Plains and northern Rockies this afternoon and evening. Here is the latest forecast.

Severe Outlook

A level 1, MARGINAL, risk for severe thunderstorms is possible for those in Montana, Wyoming, the Black Hills of South Dakota, western Nebraska and Colorado.

Severe Risks

The primary risk for Sunday’s storms will be gusty winds coming off of the Rockies.  The wind threat will be isolated, but power outages and impacts to travelling high profile vehicles will be possible.


Some showers are scattered across the 4 Corners this morning, but the strongest storms today will be during the afternoon hours. Check out the very latest timing.
