Rudolph Claims Massive Irish Poker Master Main Event Chip Lead

Day 1B of the €1 million guaranteed Irish Poker Masters KO Main Event took place over the weekend and saw another 217 players take to the partypoker virtual felt. Only 33 of those starters progressed to Day 2, and nobody bagged up more chips than Christian Rudolph.

Rudolph is widely regarded as one of the best no-limit hold’em poker tournament players on the planet, and he showcased his skills on the biggest stage, and in some style. Rudolph finished Day 1B with a 4,021,386 chips, almost double of Enrico Camosci in second place. The massive stack Rudolph amassed sees him take a huge chip lead into Day 2 with only Day 1C and the Turbo Day 1 remaining.

Plenty of well-known, established players navigated their way through the shark-infested waters of Day 1B. Brothers Sam and Luc Greenwood punched their Day 2 tickets, doing so with stacks of 1,161,134 and 1,088,031 respectively.

Canada-based Australian Stevan Chew (865,274), Marius Gierse (683,028), Peter Traply (476,676), Eder Campana (443,182), and Davidi Kitai (193,892) also made it into Day 2, which runs on November 22.

Day 1C of the Irish Poker Masters KO Main Event shuffles up and deals at 19:05 GMT on November 21, with the turbo-structured flight commencing at 16:05 GMT on November 22.
