SIGNALIS Blends the Retro Action of Resident Evil with the Horror of Silent Hill
SIGNALIS, the upcoming classic survival horror-inspired game from developer rose-engine Hamburg-based developer rose-engine and publisher Humble Games releases tomorrow for PS4, Switch, PC, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X via Game Pass.
The two-person developer is comprised of Barbara Wittmann and Yuri Stern, who were able to develop SIGNALIS full-time and from home starting in 2020 and during the COVID-19 pandemic.
The game’s story is as follows:
Elster, an engineer replica, awakens from his slumber to search for his lost partner and lost dream in a surreal retro sci-fi world. In a tense, brutal and tragic experience that mixes cosmic horror with classic survival horror, he discovers terrifying secrets, solves multiple mysteries, and fends off a nightmarish creature attack.

You can also pick up limited physical Japanese versions for PS4 and Switch via Play-asia.com for $29.99 each. This version features an exclusive red cover artwork and includes some special pre-order bonus items we designed: a double-sided A4 poster, character portrait stickers, and an Operation Penrose button (while supplies last). Both versions work on all systems sold worldwide, though a correct regional account may be required for online features.
According to the developer, a physical release for the rest of the world for Switch and PS4 will be available on February 21st, 2023, and will be available for pre-order at local retailers. It will feature the iconic original cover artwork, and a special lenticular print “Gestalt Photograph,” resembling an important key item from the game, as a pre-order bonus item.
SIGNALIS releases on October 27th for PlayStation 4, Nintendo Switch, and PC via Steam, and Xbox One and Xbox Series X via Game Pass.
