Irish Poker Masters KO Main Event Day 1A Top 10 Chip Counts
|1||Ronan Sweeney||United Kingdom||€1,125||2,062,173|
|5||Gianni Sabini||United Kingdom||€2,750||1,615,516|
|8||Mario Navarro Arrocha||Andorra||€1,437||1,544,621|
Sweeney is a superb tournament player, one who has been ranked in the top 100 players in the world for online poker events. The Irishman navigated his way to the top of the overnight chip counts on Day 1A, turning his 150,000 starting stack into a tournament-leading 2,062,173. Sweeney busted three opponents on his march towards the chip lead, picking up €1,125 in bounty payments. This means Sweeney has already recouped his €1,100 buy-in and is freerolling towards the Irish Poker Masters KO Main Event’s biggest prizes.
Brazil’s Rui Ferreira was the only other Day 1A entrant to finish with more than two million chips. The talented Brazilian narrowly missed out on the chip lad, finishing his flight with 2,029,204 in his arsenal, along with €1,437 in bounty paymanets.
Others who finished in the top ten chip counts include Sergei Denisov (1,940,680), Jans Arends (1,613,181), and Aliaksei Boika (1,548,976).
Also through to the Main Event’s Day 2 and, therefore, already in the money, are the likes of Tomi Brouk (978,233), Team partypoker’s Patrick Leonard (938,741), David Lopez (923,214), Artur Martirosian (855,870), Joakim Andersson (735,384), and Robin Ylitalo (513,035).
Irish Poker Masters KO Main Event Mega Sat Winners Through to Day 2
Fifty partypoker players won their €1,100 Irish Poker Masters KO Main Event seats via the 50-seat guaranteed Mega Satellite that ran shortly before Day 1A commenced. Ten of those seat winners punched their Day 2 tickets, including a pair of stars who made it through with a top ten stack.
Gianni Sabini finished Day 1A in fifth place courtesy of a 1,615,716 stack. Sabini netted €2,750 worth of bounties, too, after sending five opponents to the rail.

All of the players who made it through to Day 2 are now guaranteed at least a min-cash in this tournament, and a healthy return on their initial investments because none of them paid more than €109 to win their seat via the Mega Sat.
