Dear Cosmic Community,
Are you waking up every morning feeling more tired and exhausted than you were before you went to sleep? Perhaps you have no idea of what day it is, where you’ve been, who you’ve met in your dreams and where you’re currently at? It can take a while to come back into the present moment. Indeed, something tells you that you’ve been busy all night, helping others in your sleep. If this is happening to you (with an increasing regularity) then know, that you’re not alone.

The space in-between ages
Many thousands of souls globally (who are working diligently to raise their consciousness) are being called upon by the upper echelons of light to assist in humanity’s unfolding transition into the Aquarian age. This transition grew in strength in December 2020, at the great conjunction of light between Jupiter and Saturn (which both met in Aquarius). The transition from the current astrological age of Pisces into the next (Aquarius), spans many hundreds of years, and right now, you’re experiencing the space in-between ages. It can be uncomfortable and divisive, as your growing awareness will tend to see you associate with one age or the other. It’s during this in-between phase that way showers are being called to assist their fellow souls to rise in self-knowing. It’s a role they take on - willingly.

Much of this work takes place at night, on the sub-conscious level, during your physical sleep. I call this work, ‘The Spiritual Night Shift’. Knowing that ‘The Spiritual Night Shift’ exists and how you may be part of a broader network of souls conducting global healing at night, helps you to develop a deeper understanding of how to navigate this often confusing space. So, let’s look at what ‘The Spiritual Night Shift’ is, how it relates to you and how your ascension process is likely ‘accelerating’ during your sleeping hours; through the portal of your dreams.


Putting your hand up to assist
If you’ve immersed into any amount of self-development and are showing a keen interest in the deeper unfolding of your higher awareness, then you’ll be activating your soul’s innate desire to assist humanity and Earth’s evolution. Once you pierce through the fabric of your heart (soul’s chamber within the physical body) the process of your conscious ascension into the light of higher knowing begins. For as an awakened soul, you’ll begin to feel compelled to assist. It’s a drive that emanates ‘spontaneously’ from within you. Once you’re working upon self-reflection, taking self-responsibility, dropping blame and judgment of others and bringing the power back home to you, you’ll be in a position to give more of your energy over to assisting with the freeing and enlightenment of others - your fellow souls of the light. This is a process that you may either be aware is happening to you, or you may be unaware of it.

Assistance can take place either in person or energetically. It can also take place either during your waking or sleeping hours. When you’re awake, it’s easier to tell who you’re helping and how. It’s when you’re asleep and when your dream states meld with your healing states, that it can cause confusion as to what’s actually happening on the spiritual planes - during sleep.

Signs that you’re working on The Spiritual Night Shift
There are tell-tale signs that you’re assisting others and also working on your ‘own ascension’ process, during sleep:

  • You feel physically exhausted after waking from sleep

  • You can recall being in deep conversation during your dream states

  • You literally feel like you’ve done a whole night’s work, while being asleep

  • You can recall giving healings in your dreams. Perhaps you were also being worked upon by your Guides and The Angelics?

  • You may awaken with sore muscles and unusual cuts and bruises, that you don’t remember receiving

  • You awaken at regular master number times e.g 2:22, 3:33, 4:44, 3:03, 5:55 etc. I have another popular blog post on The 3am Spiritual Ascension Wake-up Call that will help you to understand more about the ‘ascension process’ during sleep

  • You may experience a broken sleep, where you have busy dreams, wake up for 30 minutes and then go back in. This cycle repeats

  • You can recollect having lucid dreams, which become the precursor to ‘intense’ out of body experiences

Healing at night
Many people are so busy during their waking hours, or so preoccupied with the stresses of daily life and/or the current state of the planet that they don’t allow the time and space for their own conscious healing process to take place. And given that ‘healing’ implies the creation of 100% health on all levels - spiritual, mental, emotional and physical, at any one time each of us is engaged in the self-healing process. It’s a continuous process. The more that you can become aware that your healing process needs to be prioritised each day, the potentially more relaxing your dream and sleeping states can be.

For it’s often when you don’t devote the time and space to working on yourself during your waking hours, that your ‘healing work’ takes place at night. This is when your personality switches off and when soul takes over. Likewise, you could be feeling such an intense empathy for others and all of the injustices in the world, that your heart goes out and wants to assist, but you’re not sure how. You may worry during the day and only at night be able to release this energy and channel it in a positive direction. This is when you may be assisting on the etheric planes (where all energy beings interact) at night. You’re soul travelling, meeting up with fellow way showers of the light and answering the call of your higher world service. I have created a helpful Guided Meditation for Empowering Empaths

You decide - You make the conscious choice
Once you realise what’s happening to you at night and what you’re potentially connected with, you can then make a conscious choice (before sleep) on whether or not you wish to be involved with healing and assisting during sleep. Realising that you have the power to conduct the flow of your life and that all energy follows your command, allows you to take greater care of your health and well-being, while still ascending in self-knowing and assisting others to do the same.

Easy Ways To Achieve a Restful Night’s Sleep
There are some simple processes that you can follow (before you go to bed) to ensure that you receive a restful sleep:

  • Write a Note, Pop it under your pillow or Say it out aloud - Decide (before you go to sleep) if you do or do not wish to assist others in your sleep. If you don’t wish to assist, then say your intentions out aloud or you can write them down and put them under your pillow. A suggestion on what you can say is, ‘Tonight I want a restful sleep. I ask for peace and calm. I wish to be given the night off from healing and helping in any form. Thank you’. If you do wish to assist, you can say, ‘Tonight I wish to experience my own peaceful healing, as I’m available to assist others in a way that energises and uplifts. Thank you’

  • Make an ‘Off Duty’ or ‘Not Working Tonight’ sign - In your waking hours, you can make up a plaque, sign or printed card that goes next to your bed before you sleep. It can say something like, ‘Off Duty’ or ‘Not Working Tonight’. Make it fun and light so that you chuckle at it before you sleep. Your sense of humour is the all-important 7th sense and one that brings you instantly into spirit’s uplifting energy flow. Use the sign for those nights when you want the energy all for yourself and for your rejuvenation process.

  • Fall asleep with your hands over your heart - This is one of my favourite techniques for a restful night’s sleep. As you go to bed, lie on your back and place your left hand over your heart and your right hand over your left. Breathe deeply in and out of your heart and feel the warm energy flow relax your body and mind. You can fall to sleep this way, I do often and always feel comforted and protected with this method You can also use this technique at any time of the day when you feel disconnected or anxious, for an instant calming effect. It’s like hugging your soul.

  • Speak with your Guides before sleep - You can also ask your Guides in spirit and The Angelic Realm to ensure that you have a restful sleep where you’re not involved in intensive healing or service work. Have a chat before you sleep and then see a beautiful sheath of light pink light emanate from your heart and cover your entire energy field. You’re blanketed in love.

Bringing The Power Back Home to You - Your Ascension Process
What’s important is that you realise that you’re in charge of your ascension process here on Earth, with ‘ascension’ being the evolution of your conscious awareness. To ascend in self-knowing is part of the divine purpose and life path of every soul. Understanding this, immediately frees you to direct how and when you choose to develop your deeper unfolding of soul’s plan and mission this lifetime.

As an energy being first and foremost, it’s vital that you take responsibility for the health and vitality of your thoughts, actions and energy field. What I like to do each day is a simple practice to ‘bring the power back home’. For inevitably, no matter how diligent you are with your energy practices, there may be some aspects of your energy that go out to people or situations, during any given day or night. You may be giving over your energy without realising that it’s sapping your life force. This can deplete you and create tiredness and uncertainty. But, you can turn it all around simply each day, by taking yourself through this energy practice. It’s just as important as eating breakfast or having a shower.

The daily process

To do this - close your eyes, place your hands over your belly and say, ‘I bring the power back home to me, up-shifted and cleansed in the light. Wherever it’s been siphoned off over the past 24 hours, I bring it back home to me through all time and space’.

Take a few deep breaths in and out of your belly and feel your entire energy field fill up with light. See your energy returning to you and you’ll notice how your spine strengthens, how your shoulders roll back and how much taller and lighter you become.

Then go about your day, using your awareness, as you notice situations where you’re called to offer your energy. Choose wisely who you help, how you help and where your energy is going through your repetitive thoughts and actions. Discipline yourself each day.


Directing your Dreams
You can also decide before you go to sleep what you choose to focus upon in your dream state. For indeed, the acting out of future, past and present scenarios and choice points (within your dreams) helps you to make wiser choices in your waking reality. Ensure that your bedroom is uncluttered and is a calm and peaceful space. I like to mist my room with essential oils, such as lavender and chamomile before sleep. Turning off your devices and not looking at screens, also helps to ensure that you enjoy a positive dream experience. And reading your favourite spiritual text before sleep is a great way to put you in a conducive state for healing and insightful dreaming.

Right before you start drifting off, decide what it is that you would like to work on during your sleep state. Saying it out aloud helps, or you can write it down and put it under your pillow. For example, you can say, ‘Tonight I ask to receive answers and insight on… (insert the particular life issue that you need help with)’.

Then focus upon being open to receiving love and support during your dream state. Envision a beautiful light pink bubble of light emanating from your heart and surrounding your energy field - then enjoy your dream experiences.

When you awaken (whatever time that may be) before you move or jump out of bed, take a moment and recall your dreams. Go back over what just happened. Notice the images and most importantly the feelings that you had during your dreams. It’s the feelings that tell you what it is you need to know. The feelings contain your answers.


Healthy Sleep - Love Your Sleep Pattern
And lastly, know that every one has and ‘will have’ a very different sleep pattern. There’s no ‘one normal’ sleep pattern to try and emulate. Indeed, when you’re actively engaged in spiritual ascension, you’ll likely have the most vivid and wildly swinging sleep patterns of your life - expect this to happen. You’ll get used to it and you’ll begin to go easy on yourself, as you implement different daily physical routines that can ensure your sleep, is as supported as possible.

Personally, I stretch and do at home Pilates every day. I walk daily, drink lots of water, I don’t smoke or drink alcohol, am a vegan, I meditate and am involved in work (each day) that inspires and uplifts myself and others. I have a relaxing bedroom, a good bed and a supportive pillow. I do what I can to ensure a restful night’s sleep and yet, I still have many ‘busy and often exhausting’ nights when I’m out on the ethers, personally expanding and helping others as well.

I’ve accepted that ‘The Spiritual Night Shift’ does and will continue to happen. I use the techniques that I’ve listed in this blog to make it a more conscious and less jarring experience. I know that when you implement this higher awareness, it will help you too.
