TTS: Make Characters Say Anything in Their Voice
You may recall last year we shared a fun Spongebob Voice Generator from Fifteen.ai. Also known as 15.ai, this site would let you type in what you wanted your favorite character to say, and then your beloved character would read the personalized text out loud. This is also known as voice cloning. For example, they had My Little Pony, Spongebob Squarepants, Rick and Morty, Doctor Who, and more! It’s a fun way for kids and adults to make a special greeting for events such as Mother’s Day, Father’s Day, birthdays or any time! I mean, who can resist Pinky Pie and Fluttershy (they’re MLP in case you didn’t know)?
Then, in February 2021, the artificial intelligence on this site was significantly improved. However, shortly after that, the site Fifteen.ai was put in maintenance mode indefinitely. The message on their site now says to check Twitter. Hopefully they will be back up soon!
So in the mean time, we found a great Fifteen.ai alternative for you to get your TTS on! I have to warn you though, 15.ai has MLP and VO does not. lol

Artificial Intelligence (AI) is to use technology to perform tasks that people would normally do.
What is TTS?
Text to speech has been around for quite some time. You may have heard of Sonix.ai or Otter.ai. Another pioneer in this industry is Dragon Speech Recognition. These are different than the TTS of 15.ai and VO.codes in that they’re more utilitarian. In other words, they’re used for interaction for business or even to help people with disabilities.
While 15.ai and VO.codes translating text into speech using a famous voice is more for fun. However, these projects are furthering the abilities of text to speech software, and in that respect are legitimate projects which will help audiences far more than a mom who wants Spongebob to tell her child, “Happy Birthday!”
Even virtual personal assistants, Siri (Apple), Cortana (Microsoft), Bixby (Samsung), and Alexa (Amazon) were created using a type of TTS. They are AI which interacts when you use devices. They are actually programmed to understand what you’re saying.
15.ai Alternatives TF2
But, we’re not here to tell you that you can’t use text-to-speech (TTS) just because 15.ai is down. Because, that would just be mean. Instead, we are here to show you where else you can find your beloved characters and convert your text to their voices to create audio clips.
While not quite as sophisticated as Fifteen.ai, VOcodes is a great alternative. Scroll down to see the options at the time of this posting, then find out how to get your favorite character to read to you.
There’s an impressive number of characters available on VOcodes. However, not all are great examples of AI.
The highest quality voices, according to them, are Arnold Schwarzenegger, Bob Barker, The Boss, Craig Ferguson, Gilbert Gottfried, Homer Simpson, Jim Cramer, Mitch McConnell, Paula Deen, Sir David Attenborough, Sonic, Spongebob, and Tucker Carlson.
And, in case you’re wondering, the worst quality voices are George Takei, Paul Graham, and Barack Obama. Of course, there’s nothing wrong with these people’s actual voices. According to the website, these voices need to be reworked in this AI project.
