We all know how much Kiwis love a cheeky cold one, so what could be better than a portable pub that travels around the country? DDB New Zealand and Emerson’s have joined forces to bring a New Zealand first, ‘Tiny Pub’.
Focusing on Emerson’s founding ethos, allowing quality time to connect over a brew, the miniature pub will give Kiwis the opportunity to enjoy a beer from the one item menu with a mate.
Kitted out with a tiny dartboard, tiny piano and one bartender, the pub is officially the smallest in New Zealand history.
Craft-Lion general manager, Dave Pearce, says the pub has everything one would need to enjoy the perfect beer, and nothing more.
“Kiwis have realised just how much they’ve missed the simple pleasure of catching up with a friend for a beer,” he says.
“We have been craving the joy of uninterrupted face to face conversation, its uncomplicated and it builds an unhurried environment to properly enjoy a pint of Emerson’s. We wanted to capture that familiar feeling for Kiwis, through Tiny Pub.”
DDB New Zealand executive creative director, Gary Steele, says Kiwis are appreciating social activities a lot more than prior to lockdown, which makes Tiny Pub a great campaign.
“Emerson’s is not for drinking on your own, it’s there as a rewarding excuse to catch up with mates. The Tiny Pub campaign invites New Zealanders to simply take some time out to practice the art of genuine human connection.”
Travelling to nine sites nationwide, Tiny Pub will be hitting the road on June 25 and is available for 27 minute time slots, the ideal amount of time to enjoy a refreshing pint of Emerson’s.
The Auckland through to Dunedin tour will be supported by a 2:30″ film that showcases two mates reconnecting with an overdue pint at the pub. The campaign will also feature 30″, 15″ and 6″ cut-downs, as well as OOH, social media and PR.
Bookings are essential to visit Tiny Pub and visitors must be 18 and over.
