Oracle have announced details of this year’s JavaOne conference.
Oracle have announced that JavaOne will take place this year, and will run from October 2nd to 6th in San Francisco. Although JavaOne 2011 will take place the same week as the Oracle OpenWorld event, according to Oracle JavaOne will be run “as a separate, standalone conference, with its own fully dedicated conference space.” All JavaOne 2011 sessions will take place in “The Zone” at the Hilton San Francisco Union Square. There will also be larger rooms for sessions, more exhibitor space and more content slots. Oracle plan to work directly with “community representatives” in planning the conference.
“With increased investment and significant improvements, Oracle is committed to making JavaOne a success again this year and into the future.”
