Earlier today, the Chinese smartphone giant Redmi launched the Redmi Note 10 series in India. And now, hours after the launch in Redmi’s largest market, Xiaomi made a global launch of the new Redmi Note series. Unlike the Indian launch, which only consisted of three variants, Redmi has added another two more to the list. Redmi Note 10 series globally launched with five variants, including the two new Redmi Note 10S and Redmi Note 10 5G.

The Redmi Note 10 series is the successor to the Note 9 series as it was to its predecessors. So let’s have a look at what these new “new” ones have to offer.

Redmi Note 10

Smartphone naming schemes have become confusing, and Redmi does follow the same rules as others. The Redmi Note 10 (yeah, the actual Redmi Note 10) comes with a 60Hz FHD+ 6.43 inch AMOLED DotDisplay. The Snapdragon 678 paired with the onboard 4/6 gigs of RAM and 64GB/128GB of UFS 2.2 storage should do some miracles. Unlike the Indian variant, the global version of the Redmi Note 10 adds in a 4/128GB variant.

The quad-camera setup on the back should pick up some great looks if the numbers are to believed. It comes with a 48MP f/1.79 primary sensor, an 8MP f/2.2 ultrawide lens (118° FOV), a 2MP f/2.4 depth sensor and a 2MP f/2.4 macro camera. The front, however, only comes with a single 13MP shooter. The side-mounted fingerprint scanner, AI Face Unlock, stereo speakers, audio jack, IR blaster and Bluetooth 5.1 should make you switch. The device comes with a whopping 5000mAh, which supports 33W fast charging. Pricing starts at $199 for the global variant and rises with the upgrades you choose.

Redmi Note 10S

There is no need for the confusion that this one is the successor to the Note 9S. The device comes with a 6.43 inch 60Hz AMOLED DotDisplay. As for what drives the phone, the included Helio G95 is a significant upgrade over its predecessor. As from memory and storage, one can choose from any of the following. 6-64GB, 6-128GB, or the 8-128GB.

The Redmi Note 10S comes with a quad-camera setup in the rear. It has a pretty standard arrangement which includes a 64MP primary shooter, an 8MP ultrawide lens, a 2MP macro and a 2MP depth sensor. The devices come with a single 13MP selfie shooter.

The included 5000mAh battery paired with the 33W fast charging is more than enough for you push through a day. The side-mounted fingerprint sensor doesn’t look like a downgrade, as most under-screen ones are still pretty average on a head to head comparison. The included stereo speakers and audio jack should make it a favourite for the music lovers out there. As for pricing, the base model starts at $229 and goes all the way up to $279.

Redmi Note 10 5G

The Redmi Note 10 5G comes with a 6.5 inch 90Hz FHD+ AdaptiveSync LCD (You know, that one that adjusts the refresh rate to save battery). The Redmi Note 10 5G packs the MediaTek Dimensity 700 processor (a little old, isn’t it?). Paired with the onboard 4gigs of RAM and faster 64GB/128GB of storage, the device should offer some decent performance.

The Note 5G has a triple camera setup. The rear module consists of a smaller 48MP primary sensor, a 2MP depth sensor, and a 2MP macro camera. As for selfies, it comes with a single 8MP shooter. This one also comes with the same battery and fingerprint sensor. The device supports up to 18W fast charging, which is good considering the price. As for pricing, the base model starts at $128 and goes all the way up to $229 for the 128gig variant.

Redmi Note 10 Pro

This one looks very similar to the Pro Max variant launched for the Indian market. It comes with a 120Hz 6.67 inch AMOLED display which happens to have a 240Hz touch sampling rate. Redmi claims the screen has an SGS Eye Care Display Certification and an SGS “Seamless Pro” rating. The device comes with the Snapdragon 732G processor and can go up to 8gigs of RAM and 128gigs of faster UFS 2.2 storage.+

The Pro variant comes with a quad-camera setup in the rear. It comes with a 108MP wide-angle camera, an 8MP ultra-wide camera, a 5MP macro camera (“telemacro”, as Redmi says), and a 2MP depth sensor. The front has a 16MP shooter with an aperture of f/2.45.

The pricing starts at $279 for the base variant and goes all the way up to $329 for the 8/128GB version. Xiaomi offers a $30 discount on any of the Pro variant for March 8 and March 9 on AliExpress. Apart from all the goodies of the Note 10, the Note 10 Pro features an NFC.
